Episode Transcription

Hello, it's Donna Joy Usher, and welcome to this 54th episode of the Living through Heart Podcast.

I've just finished the five day unlimited creative retreat, which Rochelle Weir and seven other amazing actually six other amazing women here in Bali, up in Ubud. And I gotta say, what a ride.

You know, I'm so used to doing work where I go in and when I go back to the roots of the healing and where I, you know, find the moments in time where beliefs were created and unravel the energy from that end that I had, even though I have certified and coaching, the material that was here I hadn't been putting into play my own life.

And I've really realized the power of the end result within this moment, and how sometimes we get so caught up in healing, and going in and doing the work, and you know, and it can be quite cathartic sometimes to be feeling your emotions and expressing them and coming out the other side and feeling so lighter and amazing and having this perceptional shifts.

But I think what tends to happen, what can happen is that sometimes we get caught up in the wound, our not the wound, in our woundings, and we get caught up in the identity of being wounded. And we don't know what else to be because we've never been anything other than that person that had the wounds, right?

And even though we're shifting slowly, our perceptions are changing, and we're expanding, and we're getting more and more opportunity and more freedom in our being, we don't know what else to be.

So it's kind of like, we've cut free from all the vines, but we're still in the jungle.

And what this work has done for me over the last five days by taking myself into the energy of the end result of what I want to create and not details of how I'm going to get there, what it has to look like, all the control that I used to have when I would try and force the creation, but just holding myself the energy of what I wanted, the freedom, the fun, the laughter, the friends, the creativity, how I could just plan my life around, didn't have to have a routine and realizing oh my god, that I'm not a routine person. I actually hate routine, even though my entire life has been around routine, you know, school having to hop up and go to swimming training before school and having to have this training after school and having to go home and study. And then I got so caught up in work, work, work, work work.

I didn't, I wasn't actually living in my true nature of who I am, right, my true nature and purpose. And what I've realized over the last five days is that my true nature and purpose is free. And no real routine from day to day or week to week or month to month. And I love spontaneous things. Even it's just a spontaneous plan for something that's going to happen six months from now, like not thinking about it and deliberating but just deciding to do it and booking it in and having it there.

And you know, I can remember back when I left the Air Force and I went over to England and I was living there for about 18 months. And I was, I went down to the local travel agent and I bought, I just carried home this pile of brochures. And I just went through that and I booked all of these holidays.

So I went to Egypt and I went scuba diving and I went on safari in Africa and went to Thailand and did this like bus tour up through it. And I just booked all these trips. And then I worked locum jobs around them. And even when I was in Egypt, I canceled my flight home and I was in Dahab scuba diving, and I stayed for nearly a month.

And I ended up doing my rescue diver while I was there. And it was just the love of that freedom, of that spontaneity. And yet, as soon as I came back to Australia, I just fell back into my old patterning. And it's like, sometimes we can stretch the elastic bands so far. And we feel it, and it feels amazing. But then snap, it just snaps back into place. And we go back to that old state of being. So what I think happens when we just kind of like concentrate on just the healing and the wounded and removing, you know, changing that identity is that we don't know how to be. And we don't know how to move forward and how to flow freely towards what we want.

And so that's what this work is brought me this week, reminding me of that, reminding me of holding the energy of the end result and actually dreaming big about what you want life to look like. Not being stuck into what you think you can have, right? Because if you stay in what you only think you can have, and you know I'm going to create that. Whereas if you dream as big as you can about what you want your life to look at, and not worrying about how you're going to create it or what's going to happen or going to fraud complex or fail you know, fear of failure or any of that stuff that we so naturally drop into right?

You dream as big as you can and then just hold the energy of that, then life is going to start to bring you things that will take you in the direction of what you want.

And the beautiful thing about when you hold that end result is that you're already in the energy of what you want. Because the energy of what we want is really what we want, right? It's really, it's really what how we want to feel. I mean, sure, we want the amazing experiences, and we want the travel and we want this and we want that. But if we're doing all that stuff, and we're not actually happy, and we're not enjoying ourselves, what's the point, right?

So part of the goal is really on how we're going to feel when we have it. But we can have that feeling now. And we can be in the energy of that end result now. So it's like, when you plan a garden, you plan out a garden, and you're gonna like, sow all the seeds for the garden and then you, you started, you started growing the garden, right? But at the moment, it just looks like a bare field of soil. And then you're like, well, what's the next obvious step? Well, the next obvious step to have like if you're you close your eyes, and you can imagine what this garden is going to look like, in the sense it's going to have the flowers, it's going to have all the herbs, it's going to handle the tree, it's going to have, the wildlife that could attract with what you've planted, and you're going to have any ponds or fountains or do you need to bring in electricity? Do you need to bring in a water source? You know, what do you need to do? What you know what's going to be there?

So when you're like imagining what it's like, and then you're like, Okay, well, what's the next obvious action I need to take? Well, first of all, I need to plan where my garden is going to be. Okay, now I've got that done. What's my next obvious action? Well, now I need to decide what's going to be where, and what's my next obvious action? Well, now I need to plant the seeds or buy the trees or bring in the water or whatever it is, right? So we can be in our end result without actually having the physical manifestation of what it is that we want.

Because that can take time to show up. But it doesn't mean that we don't already have it, we don't really have that end result if we're actually in the energy of it, and taking the action and moving towards it.

So I really feel that, you know, it's like the fullness of anything, almost like the infinity symbol, I can see it in my head, one side of it is the removing of the old, the ties to the old, the other half of it is the moving towards the future of what it is that we want.

And so what happened for me when I came in was that I had done a lot of clearing of past. And I was finally at a point of like real freedom within my soul. And what and being able to have a life where, you know, I didn't have to work as hard. I mean, I could move to somewhere like Bali and not have to work at all at the moment. But I know that I still do want to do that, because I do have some joy that I get from creating things within the work that I do.

But I was really blocked. And I didn't know how to move forward from that. I didn't know whether or not I wanted to move forward from that. And yet I had done so much. You know, and I was creating a podcast, creating a YouTube channel, it's like this part of me was kind of like, half heartedly doing this stuff like is if it's like all but look, it's okay, I'm sharing to the world where I know when my journey and my content and so it's not all been a waste, it's not all been for nothing, all the study and all the money that I put into myself over the last five years to like, you know, learn what I've learned and to get to do what I do, but I wasn't actually using it for the greater good.

You know, I had some clients. But I wasn't really you know, able to conceptualize what I wanted. And whenever I thought about it, I would actually constrict and contract and go into fear, because of the trap that was there, the trap of my past.

And now for me realizing that, you know, I could to actually create this anywhere I want. And all those times in the past, it was me that I created that like that. It was me that had put the stress on myself me had that had like committed to something financially that was now causing me a lot of stress. And it was me that was not finding my way out of it. But we're staying in it because I felt like that's what they deserved. They had to like, you know, make it work. That if I didn't, I was a failure. And rather than jolting from things earlier on, I would I would hang in there till the end. And then it was a financial disaster. And I was stressed out of my mind and you know all these all these terrible ramifications that come from it. And all that time, it was me that had created it.

And so knowing that and observing that gives me the power to not do it again. And this is something else about it.

When we take radical responsibility for our life, 100% responsibility for where we are and what we've done and what we've created our life, then we can own that we created those things that we don't like, as well. Which means that we can, you know, create a future where we don't have those things in them. When we're busy blaming everybody else for the bad things that have happened in our life, then we have no control over whether or not they happen again, because we think somebody else caused them somebody else created them, when really it was us. And sure it might have been somebody did something shitty to us. But you know, ultimately, we were the one that allowed it to happen to us. We were the one that like, you know, trusted that person or put up with that person when part of us knew that we shouldn't or we were the one that you know I invested in something without doing due diligence, which is my, you know, great trap, I would like to see something want to buy it and I would, you know, the science would be there. But I would just fluff over them or in my mind, I would all make it all okay? Rather than actually being like black and white about something with due diligence, and like I would bring emotion into the picture. And I just because I wanted something, I'd make everything else kind of just go away in my mind, but it was all still there, right. So I created this situations.

And a lot of people just go through life, sail through life being so resentful and so fearful, and trying to control everything, because they think they have no control. And yet the true beauty and life comes when you realize that you don't have control. And you shouldn't have control. Because when we try to control what our life looks like, all we can do is recreate more of the past, because we have nothing else to compare it by.

And maybe sometimes we can model ourselves on someone else and we can get there. But normally, you know, we're just if we're trying to control something, it's just more of the same. Because it's more patenting, it's more about unconscious playing out, it's more of our self sabotaging, or it's more of us trying to stay safe or play small or whatever it is, right. But when we move the other direction, and we actually are brave enough to visualize what we want, and then to go for it, then who knows how it's going to look, when all we're doing is taking the next obvious step, and we're holding the energy of the end result. We're magnetizing it to us, we're bringing it to us and then all of a sudden, stuff starts to happen. Opportunities start to show up.

And if you just say yes, when you know, you should say yes, and not stop to think about how it's going to happen, or how stressful it's going to be or how you're going to oh my god, I'm not good at that. Or am I am I able to do that? If you just say yes, when something shows up, then you can work out the details later, right? And then that's you flowing through life.

Remember that famous quote by Richard Branson, he's like, "if an amazing opportunity to get offers to just say yes, and then work out how you're gonna do it later", right?

So I went from being blocked, not knowing what was gonna happen to kind of like getting some clarity and realizing that I was the one that was in control, I could create the however I wanted. And that abundance didn't have to be tied to what I was creating. In other words, this didn't have to be like a financially stressful thing in which I had to be like, making so much money or doing this or doing that. And I could actually create something just because I wanted to create it, because I would love to be sharing it with the world. And then the next morning, a good girlfriend of mine, Jody, who I met at a retreat back in August, and she's been starting to, you know, we've been chatting a lot and hanging out a lot. And you know, both of us having a very similar emotional journey, but in two very different ways, which is always, always like, I just think that's so amazing when we can go, Oh, my God, this thing. Me too. And it's like these two different things that we've been through, two different processes and two different ways that we've done it. But we're both on this, like, parallel, emotional journey of what we're processing and going through.

So I just come through this from lack of clarity of what I want to the yep, I'm going to do this thing. And then she reaches out to me and says, hey, do you want to collaborate? I think we should collaborate. And I'm like, hell yeah, let's collaborate.

So now we're starting to create, we're going to be creating, and we're thinking about how we want this to look, how we want circles. So we're gonna start with circles, but we're already talking about a retreat of our own. And between the two of us, the skills that we've got, and the tools that we've got, and the abilities that we've got, we can bring a massive amount of stuff to the world by ourselves, even, but together, you know, it's going to be amazing.

And, you know, we're going to create some circles around different themes and topics. And then go from there.

And then basically, yeah, just say, we're going to do a retreat and book it in and then see what happens, what plays out what we feel we should be helping people with and how it's going to look from there.

So yeah, I'm gonna say what a difference five days can make when you're standing, you know, in your, you're moving into your genius every day, you're moving into the energy of a life that you really want to love, you know, to have the life that you love, and your true purpose and nature, right? And your creative like, you know, genius, basically, because we're all creators, we're all born creators, we just get shut down within our creations.

We get older we learn it's not safe to be in that play of creation.

But when you can stand on that end result, and you can start to magnetize it and draw itself to it and you can feel it in your body and start to resonate at that level, then you can create amazing things.

So I hope that you got something out of this and if you're interested, just you know, keep an eye out. We're going to be talking about on social media, about the circles that we are doing and you know, I will be putting them on my website when I actually get around to doing my websites, probably and updating them, which will be soon now, now that I've I mean, the end result of what I need to create.

So the, the circles will be local, and we'll probably do some online stuff as well. So if you are in Perth in Australia, Western Australia, then there will be local stuff that we'll be doing. And we will be doing online stuff as well. And I'm sure that she will also be doing her own stuff. And I will also be doing my own stuff, because I'm really so very passionate about creating these Feminine Empowerment workshops, which I want to do. And I can see at the moment, two different levels, like one more basic level, where it's really just about bringing you back into your power, being able to get you to identify what your wants and needs are, because that's something that for a lot of women, we don't even know what our wants and needs are because we've never been allowed them right.

What are your desires, and what wants and needs, should you be actually, you know, able to ask somebody else who are one of the ones that you should be fulfilling yourself because a lot of our wants and needs we lean on other people for are actually things that we should be giving to ourselves.

So being able to bring the feminine and the masculine energy together in somebody and to bring their power back in, and being able to teach boundaries, because boundaries are not something. I mean, seriously this stuff should be taught from kindergarten up through school, right? You know, it's far more important than like, you know, history, ancient history of BC time, it is far more important on how to be, right, how to be in your power and how to be, how to have boundaries and how to live a life. That is far more important than ancient history and stuff like that.

Anyway, don't get me started. So yeah, how to basically have boundaries? How to say no. And what's the boundary? And what's a wall? Right? What's the difference there with attachment styles, when are you actually in an avoidant attachment system, and when do you actually have healthy boundaries in place.

So that sort of stuff I'm going to be working into. And then I'm thinking next level is getting more into bringing in that feminine power, bringing in that Kundalini energy, womb clearing, Yoni attunement, you know, lots of stuff, they're actually connecting in fully to the power that is ours, it's really been shut down within the patriarchy, within, you know, centuries and centuries of women just being shut down, and our intuition, and our power, and our and our, you know, inner wisdom, just being like us being punished for it, tortured for it, and, you know, forced to surrender into nothingness, basically, where we're really just, you know, servants to the man.

And you know, that's like dramatizing right there at the end, because it's not like that now, but if you think back on how it has been in some countries where it still is, right?

So anyway, that's what I'm planning in the future. So if you're interested in finding out more about that, there is a form and I can't remember what it is. So when we did this video, we will put over at this point now, right now, who's gonna pop up a URL that you can go and fill out a form or if you're listening to the podcast version of this, it will be in the notes.

So you can check out the podcast notes of what that form is for just to fill out so that you're interested in finding out when we actually release stuff, or when I release stuff is spent on empowerment stuff.

Or just go check out the website, I'll make sure that there's a form available on my website, either donnajoyusher.com or livingthroughheart.com.

Okay, I hope you're having an amazing day, I gotta go move out of my room, my, my fingers. Because if you're listening to this on a podcast, you're not gonna see anything. So I apologize for that. But yeah, if you're on the podcast, you should go check out the YouTube channel just to see this amazing Villa that we've been staying in. Actually, we've been staying in two of them. There's another one over, I can do this. There's another one out. Just I can't really see it through that direction. There is another one which is got this amazing sunken lounge and in fact, what we're about to do, it's gonna be really fun. There's this sunken lounge with the pool next to it right, and there's this sheet of glass on the side of the pool. So you can actually see into the pool from within the sunken lounge and I was like, oh, should be really cool. Let's take a photo of us all underwater, like staring out through that window. So we're about to go do that. So if it's good, I'm gonna post it on social media. You can check it out there. Alright. Have an amazing day and I will catch you next time.
